No matter where the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is held, some of the biggest names in entertainment and fashion can be counted on to gather and celebrate the brand’s latest line of lingerie. The popular fashion event returned to New York City for the 2018 show, which made for some superstar appearances by The Weeknd, Trevor Noah, Laverne Cox and Adam Levine in the crowd, along with the hit-making performers Halsey, Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers, Kelsea Ballerini, Bebe Rexha, Rita Ora and The Struts.
Pictures from the VS Fashion Show were quick to surface on the Internet just hours after the taping wrapped Thursday night (Nov. 9), but the actual footage of the show won’t air on ABC until Dec. 2. Luckily, Billboard was in the audience this year, taking in all the action that will be on the television broadcast and the moments that might not have been caught on cameras.
Ahead of the Dec. 2 broadcast, check out a timeline of the behind-the-scenes moments Billboard witnessed at the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
6:06 p.m. ET Frankie Grande approaches the start of the pink carpet wearing iridescent purple pants and no shirt, with wings painted on his bare shoulders. When reporters noticed his elaborate outfit, he quips, “You know, subtle.”

8:06 p.m. Dylan Sprouse gushes over his girlfriend (and Victoria’s Secret Angel) Barbara Palvin while chatting with reporters, detailing her intensive preparation process for the show. “It was like watching an Olympian train work out twice a day,” he said, all the while holding a bag of Shake Shack to deliver to Barbara and her fellow Angels Stella Maxwell and Alexina Graham after the show.
8:15 p.m. Victoria Justice snaps a picture with former Bachelor star Lauren Bushnell in front of a massive Victoria’s Secret mirror wall, then makes her way inside the show room and catches up with Dylan Sprouse.

8:20 p.m. The Weeknd does the same with Trevor Noah as he heads to his seat, which happens to be right next to Yolanda (who is mom to the singer’s on-and-off girlfriend, Bella Hadid).
8:24 p.m. After both The Weeknd and Yolanda sit down, they immediately start catching up and chat almost right until the show starts — and continue their conversation during breaks.

8:48 p.m. Halsey breaks her model pose for a huge grin after finishing an impassioned performance of “Without Me,” then almost trips on her feather train as she makes her way off stage — but recovers with no problem.

9:01 p.m. Zedd is one of the first people to shoot up to applaud Shawn Mendes after he finishes “Lost In Japan” (even the despite the fact that Mendes didn’t perform the Zedd remix).
