The American Music Awards announced the addition of three more performers to the already star-studded 2014 lineup: Selena Gomez, Imagine Dragons, and one of the best-selling artists of all time, Garth Brooks.
Gomez dropped the video for “Heart Wants What It Wants” — the new single from her greatest hits album For You — today, and she will perform the song live for the first time at the AMAs. Imagine Dragons will play their recently-released single, “I Bet My Life.” The rock group won an AMA last year and also performed with Kendrick Lamar.
Garth Brooks’ performance will be piped into the AMAs from Greensboro, North Carolina — a stop on the singer’s current tour. Brooks is in the middle of comeback after going more than a decade without releasing a studio album. Man Against Machine, his upcoming full-length, is due out next week (Nov. 11). He’s only released one single so far, “People Loving People,” currently at No. 42 on Hot Country Songs.
The 2014 American Music Awards are on Sunday, Nov. 23, starting at 8 p.m. EST. Brooks, Gomez, and Imagine Dragons join an impressive list of artists playing at the event: The evening’s host, Pitbull, as well as Taylor Swift, Lorde, Mary J. Blige, 5 Seconds of Summer, Iggy Azalea, Charli XCX, Fergie, One Direction, and Sam Smith.
