
MTV unveiled its Video Music Awards nominees for 2019 on Tuesday (July 23), recognizing many Latin artists in the industry.
This year, Spanish singer Rosalia is up for three nominations including best new artist against other promising acts such as Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and Billie Eilish. J Balvin also swept three nods including best Latin, best choreography and best dance.
Meanwhile, some of the hottest acts in Latin music are going head-to-head for the award of best Latin. These include Anuel AA and Karol G’s “Secreto,” Bad Bunny featuring Drake on “Mia,” Benny Blanco, Tainy, Selena Gomez and J Balvin with “I Can’t Get Enough,” Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma” featuring Snow, Maluma’s “Mala Mia,” and Rosalia, J Balvin and El Guincho’s “Con Altura.”
