In their first-ever joint interview, the two superstars will speak about the making of their upcoming feature film Marry Me, Latino representation in film and music, adapting to a new COVID reality and, of course, staying in shape.
The conversation, titled “Latino’s Path to Hollywood,” kicks off a day of fascinating conversations.
Also in the mix is “The superstar and the super executive,” a conversation between superstar Ozuna and Afo Verde, the chairman/CEO of Sony Latin Iberia; while “Girl From Rio” features Brazilian star Anitta with Ryan Tedder, who’s producing her upcoming album. On the industry side, “Launching the label” will feature reggaeton star Wisin with his star manager Walter Kolm, discussing how new labels are being launched in a time of COVID in a conversation moderated by iHeartLatino CCO Enrique Santos.
And the day will also feature a conversation with Lyor Cohen, the global head of music for YouTube. Finally, the first of two “On The Rise” panels—so-called after Billboard’s long-running franchise featuring up-and-coming Latin players—will feature a conversation between Jhay Cortez, Lunay, Natanael Cano, Nicki Nicole and Mariah Angeliq.
The day’s live music will come from Spain, with Tutto Duran, Juanfran, Bandaga and Hozwal performing as part of the “New Sounds From Spain and the Canary Island” showcase.
The day will end earlier than usual, at 1 p.m., as the Billboard Latin Music Awards will take place in the evening.
You can tune in above to watch the exclusive content as it happens or catch it on Billboard.com.
