Wisin, Ozuna, CNCO — “Quisiera Alejarme (Remix)”
Yes, reggaeton can be romantic. Wisin and Ozuna’s “Quisiera Alejarme” just got a special twist by boy band CNCO. The original version already had a wonderful story but with CNCO the lyrics are in another level. And, to match the new lyric video with the original music video it is a great idea because it doesn’t lose the essence. — Suzette Fernandez
Karol G Ft J Balvin & Nicky Jam — “Mi Cama (Remix)”
Unexpected! Karol G’s “Mi Cama” just got hotter with J Balvin and Nicky Jam. The guys actually give the masculine point of view to a lyric that simply represents a proud and powerful woman who can go on without a man. — S.F.
Dillon Francis — “Never Let You Go (feat. De La Ghetto)”
If EDM and reggaeton were to have a love child, it would be this single right here. Dillon Francis and De La Ghetto’s “Never Let You Go” fuses the best of both worlds, combining Dillon’s eclectic music style and De La Geezy’s smooth vocals. The sensual urban/electro tune took two years in the making and is the first song that the EDM artist worked on for his Spanish-language album Wut Wut, set to release in September. It’s impossible not to vibe to “Never Let You Go.” — Jessica Roiz
Romeo Santos — “Carmín (ft. Juan Luis Guerra)”
In a world where urban music is currently dominating, Romeo Santos and Juan Luis Guerra land all the right notes with their new single “Carmín.” This romantic track is poetry in motion, further proving that the bachata genre is here to stay. “Carmín” combines everything we love about classic bachata with modern vibes, giving it a magical touch in its melody, lyrics, and music video. — J.R.
