After counting on the participation of artists such as Bad Bunny, Sebastian Yatra, Marc Anthony, Becky G, and the Backstreet Boys this year, Viña del Mar returns in 2020 with yet another star-studded lineup.
On Tuesday morning (Oct. 8), the organizing committee of the LXI International Festival of Viña del Mar, chaired by Chilean politician Virginia Reginato, unveiled that Ozuna will form part of the forthcoming event for the first time in his career. Mexican singer Ana Gabriel and Spanish crooner Pablo Alboran have also been confirmed. The three acts join previously-announced performers Ricky Martin and Mon Laferte.
In early September, Viña del Mar-based artist Mon Laferte was announced as the first performer, becoming the first Chilean artist to kick off the event in recent decades. Television presenters María Luisa Godoy and Martín Cárcamo will be returning as hosts.
The renowned International Song Festival kicks off February 23 and culminates on February 28 at the Quinta Vergara Amphitheater. The five-day event will feature local and international artists, who compete for either a silver torch or golden torch.
According to the official statement, the LXI International Song Festival of Viña del Mar will be broadcast in Chile via Channel 13 and TVN in conjunction with the radio stations of the IARC-ADN and Pudahuel radio conglomerate. FOX Networks will air the festival in Latin America.
