Shakira & The Prince
Earlier this week, Shakira announced that she was “humbled and happy” to form part of the Earth Shot Prize council, known as the most prestigious global environment prize in history that inspires creative solutions to repairing the planet’s damage and to bring about real change. To further celebrate, she held a one-on-one conversation with fellow council member Prince William. “I’m inspired by his passion and commitment towards combating climate change and repairing our planet,” Shak expressed on Instagram. “She said ‘yes’!”
At the beginning of this week, Ricky Montaner of the duo Mau & Ricky, surprised fans by sharing a photo of him and his then-girlfriend Stefania Roitman rocking an engagement ring. “She said ‘yes’” read the caption, revealing that he’s not an engaged man. “I hope that this love that we have for each other inspires you because it inspires me, it gives me hope, it gives me strength, happiness, freedom,” expressed Roitman on her Instagram. “We are now complete,” her proud father-in-law, Ricardo Montaner, said on social media. New version of “Dream Girl”
Earlier this year, Bonaire-born artist Ir-Sais talked to Billboard about “Dream Girl,” the biggest hit of his career. The remix, next to Rauw Alejandro, became a viral sensation, especially on TikTok, where it counts with over one billion views. On the heels of the sultry dancehall-meets-reggaeton that peaked at No. 25 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and at No. 6 on the Latin Rhythm Digital Song Sales, Ir-Sais dropped a new version, the global remix, in collaboration with Sean Paul and DaVido, who bring their Jamaican and Nigerian flavors to the mix. “Afro-Caribbean Beats taking over the world,” Ir-Sais, who’s half Dominican, proudly expressed on Instagram. Marc Anthony Celebrates 3.0
Marc Anthony has been named Amazon Music Latin’s first Artist of the Month as part of the new RAICES brand, which showcases carefully-curated artist playlists in various genres, taking listeners on a career-spanning journey through all of the featured artist’s work. To celebrate, the Puerto Rican tropical singer unveiled a mini-documentary that takes fans on a behind-the-scenes journey of his successful 3.0 album. “First salsa album in history with Diamond status!” he notes.
