Spotify announced its recently launched new Mexican music category, which includes 20 new playlists covering genres like Mexican regional, pop, rock and hip-hop.
The playlists were curated by the Spotify México browsing team and will be available on an international level. “Beyond language barriers, style, genres and local poetry, Mexican music has reached even the smallest corners around the world,” said the Spotify México team in a statement. “Spotify, whose philosophy is to take music and its power to all over the world, has inaugurated this category rich in chords, musical notes and lyrics that represent the cultural diversity and various influences that our local artists have.”
