Wrapping up the second day of the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Conference, Mexican-American pop artist Sofia Reyes and Puerto Rican reggaetón sensation Justin Quiles, aka J Quiles, took to the stage for a private show at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
Post-conference madness and star-studded panels, including the Rise of the Mexillenials and The New Trap King: Bad Bunny, conference attendees and music aficionados took the party poolside for an intimate cocktail party
Reyes, who will perform for the first time at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday, was the first one to jump onstage to sing a potpourri of her charting tracks. “Acoustic sessions are really my favorite,” Reyes said. “We’re here to enjoy the night and I hope you have a great time.”
She went on to perform songs like “Solo yo,” “1,2,3” and “Llegaste tú.”
After a short intermission, reggaetonero and conference panelist J Quiles took center stage to turn up the heat with back-to-back hits like “Pendiente de usted,” “Monstruo,” Ropa interior” and “No quiero amarte.”
Before his performance at the poolside event, singer/songwriter Quiles spoke at the How I Wrote That Song panel, presented by BMI, alongside fellow songwriters Motiff, Spiff TV, Alcover, IAmChino and Jorge Gomez.
