Hitmaker Servando Primera signed a long-term worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV, Billboard has learned.
The Venezuelan singer/songwriter, formerly of brother duo Servando y Florentino, co-wrote Enrique Iglesias’ chart-topping track “Duele el corazón” and most recently, Maluma’s “Felices los 4,” which currently sits at No. 7 on Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs (chart dated May 20).
“Servando is a truly unique and extraordinarily talented singer/songwriter, with an amazing career, enormous recent and upcoming hits under his belt, and untold potential,” Jorge Mejia, president, Sony/ATV Music Publishing for Latin America and U.S. Latin, said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more thrilled that he has chosen Sony/ATV to be his publishing family.”
Servando is currently working on projects with Latin superstars Wisin and Chayanne. He was a panelist at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Conference, where he joined fellow songwriters such as Erika Ender and Manuel Medrano for the Songwriters, The New Generation panel.
In an exclusive interview with Billboard, the singer/songwriter detailed working with Enrique Iglesias for the smash hit “Duele el corazón.”
