Sebastian Yatra made his late-night television debut on Monday’s episode (March 22) of A Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Joined by Puerto Rican artist Guaynaa, the Colombian pop star performed his party-starting single “Chica Ideal” at the helm of a live band and a group of dancers.
“I thank God for projects like these, that are born out of emotions and from the heart, and at times, like this particular case, surpass whatever expectation,” Yatra shared on Instagram Tuesday (March 23) alongside a clip of the performance. “Thank you to all of the boys and girls who dance the ‘Chica Ideal’ challenge. Without you, this song would not even be the 10 percent of what it was.”
On the Billboard charts, “Chica Ideal” reached No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart dated Feb. 20, securing Yatra his eight No. 1 and Guaynaa’s first on the chart.
In addition to his rocking performance, Yatra played a fun game of “Mood Mix” with Colbert, during which he sang some of his favorite songs. Among them were the ones he croons in the shower, at karaoke, and those that make him feel at home.
