Reykon and Maluma have teamed up for a collaboration titled “Latina.” The music video, which will premiere Friday (May 31), was filmed in Colombia and features the two artists surrounded by many beautiful women in an island.
“Latina” promises to be your new favorite summer song. It features an infectious dancehall-meets-reggaeton melody with waves of trap, and the accompanying video will take you on a Caribbean getaway. “It’s a lethal combination,” Reykon tells Billboard.
“When someone really wants something, they make it happen,” Reykon says of working with Maluma. “And that’s something that’s rarely seen in our genre in Colombia. It doesn’t matter if you’re from different labels or have different teams, we’re two friends who want to make music, period.”
“Latina,” according to the Colombian singer, is a tribute to all the women in the world, especially their fans. “When we were making the song, this was the title that most called our attention,” he says.
