ProColombia presents two new captivating videos as part of their “Colombia es Sabrosura” tourism campaign, premiering exclusively on Billboard.
The campaign, which launched in January, brings to the forefront the beautiful culture and natural wonders the South American country has to offer. For the campaign, 13 regions were paired with original music productions featuring local acts and renowned artists, such as Fonseca, Sebastian Yatra and Piso 21.
This week, ProColombia takes us on a musical journey through La Guajira and Santa Marta.
Composed by Ivan Benavides and presented by Niños de la Fundación Cultura Sendero de Acordeones and with the guest voice of Adriana Ferrer, “Yo Me Voy Pa’la Guajira” is a song that best describes the Caribbean region.
The video, directed by Salomon Simhon, sheds light on the vallenato and wayuu culture, breathtaking scenery where the desert meets the ocean, and extreme sports that tourists can enjoy only in La Guajira.
Santa Marta, on the other hand, is a historic city keeping its traditions alive while being modernized for tourists. This is also Carlos Vives’ hometown. In a new campaign video called “El Alma del Mundo” by Ghetto Kumbé and Eka, we discover Colombia’s indigenous culture and the national natural park Tayrona.
“El Alma del Mundo” was composed by Ivan Benavides and Ghetto Kumbé, and the video was produced by Andres Gomez.
