Ever since his self-titled debut studio album in 2010, Prince Royce has had a strong presence on the Billboard charts. From “Stand By Me” to his latest song, “Carita de Inocente,” the Dominican crooner has dominated the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart multiple times.
One of his first hits was “Corazon Sin Cara,” which hit No. 1 on the Tropical Airplay chart dated Oct. 23, 2010, where it remained atop for 10 weeks. His Shakira-assisted “Deja Vu” spent 11 weeks at No. 1 after nabbing the top position on the chart dated April 29, 2017.
Now, Royce continues to dominate the Tropical Airplay chart with his single “Carita de Inocente,” marking his 18th No. 1 since the chart’s inception in 1994. “Carita” also marks his 13th No. 1 without collaboration among his 18 overall leaders.
”I am surprised and grateful!” Royce previously told Billboard. “In a short time, ‘Carita de Inocente’ hit No. 1. It’s a fresh, danceable new bachata sound and I’m so happy fans, DJs, and radio have embraced it and my new double album!”
Currently, the song, which also counts with a remix by Myke Towers, has spent 20 weeks at the top.
