Geoffrey Royce Rojas, a.k.a. Prince Royce, already has his plans ready for 2020. A new album and a tour are on the way, and Billboard has all the details after a one-on-one interview with the Dominican-American singer.
Prince Royce’s new album is titled Alter Ego and is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of next year.
“I’m playing a little bit with a duo alter ego concept which is different,” he says. That’s why he is constantly exploring the idea of ??collaborating and recording in other genres, such as Regional Mexican, which he did recently, first with Gerardo Ortiz (Moneda) and later with Calibre 50 for a performance at the 2019 Latin Grammy Awards. “The idea is not to change who you are or change your sound, it is to bring your sound into that vision.”
Last month, Royce announced a new tour that includes 40 cities in the United States which will be the largest (so far) in the artist’s career.
“I’m doing the biggest tour — over 40 cities, it’s almost double the dates I did on my last tour and I’m really excited that I will visit places I’ve never been before,” he revealed. Also, the tour will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the release of his debut album, Prince Royce.
