Premios de la Radio organizers have unveiled part of the show’s star-studded lineup exclusively to Billboard, which includes tributes to late singers Selena Quintanilla and José José.
Latin pop songstress Belinda will join Regional Mexican stars Ana Barbara, Chiquis and Edith Marquez for a special tribute to the Queen of Tejano, performing a medley of Selena’s biggest hits. Banda MS, meanwhile, will perform a special tribute to Mexican crooner José José, who recently died at age 71 on Sept. 28 in South Florida. Bronco, Huracanes del Norte and Pancho Barraza will also receive homages at the awards show.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Premios de la Radio awards recognize the best of Regional Mexican music. Billboard can confirm that this year’s awards show will bring back the best female artist category after three years, debut the best corrido urbano category and debut the best collaboration category.
