Puerto Rican singer Pedro Capo is doing it up in Las Vegas this month. Not only is he celebrating his first-ever Latin Grammy nominations, but he’s now been confirmed to sing La Isla del Encanto’s national anthem during the Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez championship fight on Nov. 21 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
“I’ll be celebrating my birthday, my Latin Grammy nominations, and I’ll close out the month like one can only dream, alongside our champion Miguel Cotto,” says Capo about the sporting event, which will be broadcast by HBO. “I feel like I’m at a beautiful place in my life right now. I couldn’t be happier or more appreciative.”
