Nicky Jam is now the Latin urban artist with the most subscribers on YouTube. The “El perdón” singer’s Nicky Jam TV channel has more than 6 million followers, beating out other urban stars like Maluma, J Balvin and Farruko, according to YouTube.
It’s important to note that other Latin superstars like Enrique Iglesias, Shakira and Pitbull surpass Jam’s 6 million subscribers, but Nicky takes the lead in the Latin urban genre.
Anatomy of a Hit: Nicky Jam’s ‘El Perdon’
The Boston-born singer celebrated the milestone on social media stating that the channel, launched in 2012, had only started out with 5,000 subscribers.
