New Caracas: “Más Allá del Sol” (“Beyond the Sun”) featuring Alea
New York-based alternative Latin band New Caracas released the music video accompanying the single “Más Allá Del Sol” from their upcoming album, NOS, based on the Latin American diaspora. The song features Colombian singer-songwriter Alea, and was brought to life with the participation of Grammy-winning producer Emilio Miler and Latin Grammy-winning mixer Darío Peñaloza. The song features a 10-piece orchestra that blends classical sounds with vibrant Latin rhythms, showcasing Luis D’Elias’ musical storytelling as performed by a multicultural cast of New York-based musicians.
The music video takes Alea on a journey across space, sea and land, which ultimately makes her realize the journey revolves around her own identity. At over 1,500 photos, the stop-motion brings a magical realism to the music of New Caracas, driven by Alea’s voice and the orchestra’s musical storytelling.
The single is the first release to come from the band’s upcoming album, NOS, which will be a collection of songs inspired by the various experiences of Latin American immigrants in the U.S. and the rest of the world.
The music of New Caracas can be defined as Alternative Latin, as it seeks to craft a unique sound that draws inspiration from many genres, but has as a unifying thread, the rhythms and traditions of Venezuela, Peru, Colombia and the rest of South America.

Luis Silva: “Esta es Mi Tierra” (“This is My Land”)
Venezuelan folkloric crooner Luis Silva is paying tribute to his country with his latest single. “Esta es Mi Tierra” is an anthem about the beauty of Venezuela and its people. Luis Silva said he is happy and proud to remind everyone about the beauty the country has to offer amid the social and economic crisis it is dealing with. It was written by Carlos Romero and produced by Joel Leonardo Jr.
Silva just wrapped up a tour that took him across the United States and Latin America.

Neutro Shorty: “Meditation”
Venezuelan urban star Neutro Shorty shared with fans the single “Meditation” and its official music video. The track is being penned as a trap ballad, and it relates the fading of a relationship. The video was directed by Cesar Velásquez and comes under TrapMoney label.
