Monsieur Perine gave their own twist to Mana’s “Oye Mi Amor” at the 2018 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year gala on Wednesday night .
Prior to taking the stage, the Colombian band talked to Billboard about the significance of the band to them. “I grew up listening to their music. Their songs marked our adolescence,” lead singer Catalina García said, admiring the way they have influenced music and raised awareness.
In addition to talking about their performance and this year’s Latin Grammy nominations, Monsieur revealed that their Encanto Tropical Tour will continue in 2019, visiting countries such as Spain and Mexico.
