Mexican rockers Maná unveiled their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a special ceremony Feb. 10 that honored their musical milestones.
‘We made it!,” said Fher Olvera, Maná’s vocalist, who also remembered their first gig in Los Angeles, paid for with beer. Olvera also stated that the Latino community in the U.S. has grown and said, “The Latino community can change the course of history in this country.”
Fher, Alex, Juan and Sergio were accompanied by the legendary Carlos Santana, who gave a special speech that highlighted the band not only as a musical icon, but also as vocal philanthropists and humanitarians who’ve long championed human rights.
Later that day, the rockers performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
