Cleansing our social media feeds that have been inundated with post-Election Day updates, the pair uploaded the same photo and simply tagged each other.
A collaboration would mark the first time Maluma and The Weeknd have worked together, and while it’s unclear what they’re going to release, fans on Twitter are hoping to hear the Canadian artist sing in Spanish. “I’m LIVING to hear you sing in fluent español. PLEASE,” wrote one fan. “You singing in español? Here for it,” echoed another.
The Weeknd followed up with a tweet in Spanish that read “el fin de semana,” which translates to the weekend.
