After teaming with Latin superstars like Ricky Martin and Shakira for back-to-back hit singles, you could say that Maluma is on a (winning) streak of collaborations, one that we hope keeps going on for a long time.
The chart-topping artists were reunited during a music conference in Mexico City on Monday, where they snapped a few photos together. Maluma shared a picture of himself with Yankee and Balvin on social media captioning it, “What about a song?”
With comments like “My three idols together” and “Please do! You guys would be the best combination,” the internet quickly approved of the collab between the trio of hitmakers.
Although the three artists have not confirmed the collaboration, it goes without saying that Maluma, Daddy Yankee and J Balvin joining forces would be an epic fusion of three generations of reggaeton artists: Daddy Yankee, considered the pioneer of reggaeton music; Balvin who became one of the first reggaetoneros to come out of his native Colombia and; Maluma who, at 22 years old, is taking the reggaeton/urban scene to a whole new level with his superstar collabs.
Yankee and Balvin recently collaborated on Balvin’s track “Pierde los modales” on his latest album Energía.
