
Los Tigres Del Norte have already endorsed Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for president. Now the popular norteño group considered the voice of the Mexican immigrant community are hitting the bricks to help their candidate. The Grammy-winning band will campaign on Monday (Nov. 7) with Democratic Senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto and Nevada democrats to encourage Latinos to come to the polls on election day.
They will appear at a canvassing kick-off event at 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning at the Culinary Union in Las Vegas and a get out the vote rally later in the day at the Cardenas Supermarket. Masto is bidding ot become the first Latina in the U.S. Senate. Los Tigres were recently joined by Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bosé, Julieta Venegas, Juanes, Carlos Vives and Becky G at the Oct. 15 RiseUp AS ONE live event along the U.S./Mexico border promoted as a “celebration of music, diversity and unity.”
At that event, co-host Alejandra Espinoza encouraged the nation’s 27 million Latino voters to get out and vote on Tuesday (Nov. 8).
Monday will be a busy day for last-minute politicking for Clinton and rival Republican Donald Trump. Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi will get together to play at a Clinton rally on Monday night in Philadelphia on Independence Mall that will also feature appearances from President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as former President Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea. The Jersey legends join a long list of artists who’ve performed and worked on behalf of the former First Lady over the past month, including Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Stevie Wonder, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry.
On Friday night (Nov. 4) Jay Z and Beyoncé headlined a free concert in Cleveland for Clinton with Chance the Rapper, Big Sean and J. Cole.
