Los Tigres del Norte set a new attendance record at Sunday night’s (March 10) Go Tejano Day at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo — surpassing Cardi B’s record-breaking attendance high-water mark set just a week ago.
The norteño group marked their return to Rodeo’s stage for the first time since 2002 by garnering 75,586 attendees on Sunday, according to a tweet from the Rodeo. They passed Cardi’s recently set record by six guests (after she broke Garth Brooks’ previously held record by three more attendees).
Los Tigres also took to Instagram on Monday (March 11) with a video of the stage preparations and thanked fans in the Spanish caption for their support. (English translation), “Our presentation yesterday at the @rodeohouston … Total success thanks to you […] our dear audience that fills us with energy and #attitudetigers.”
