Some videos try to be fancy. But a shirtless Liam Payne and Colombian reggaeton star J. Balvin surrounded by a group of sexy dancers is a concept we can all understand. And that’s pretty much the story line for the dynamic duo’s brand new visual for “Familiar.” The official clip for the pair’s smoldering single dropped on Friday morning (May 4) and it finds them hosting a Fast and Furious-style late night Miami dance party blazed by the headlights from a circle of classic cars, with plenty of scantily clad dancers on hand.
Did we mention that Liam is shirtless? And that the former One Direction member does something his on-hiatus group was famously averse to: busts a few dance moves? The action moves from the rooftop to a VIP club at one point, but for the most part the camera focuses on the two men doing their thing side-by-side, their chemistry as smooth as the Mike Sabath-produced summery track. The song is expected to appear on Payne’s upcoming debut solo album, LP1, due later this year.
