Leonardo Aguilar, son of regional Mexican legend Pepe Aguilar, has joined SESAC Latina’s roster of songwriters. This agreement covers the worldwide public performing rights of his compositions.
“This is the beginning of a long-term relationship with this gifted artist,” said Celeste Zendejas, SESAC Latina director of creative services, in a statement. “Leonardo has a whole career of accomplishments and triumphs ahead of him, and we are pleased to accompany him every step of the way.”
The 19-year-old songwriter is currently a music production student at Berklee College of Music and, this summer, will travel across Mexico and the United States as part of his father’s Jaripeo Sin Fronteras 2019 tour.
