Because the beauty fad only keeps getting more popular each day, Billboard compiled a list of Latina artists who are also exploring the world of makeup below.
BECKY G
Becky G bid farewell to 2018 by announcing her first-ever collaboration with Colourpop Cosmetics. Her Salvaje and Viva collection, which includes colorful eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, and highlighters, was inspired by her “strong Latin roots,” as she mentioned on Instagram. “Something I’m obviously SO proud of.”
In spring 2019, actress and singer Jackie Cruz announced her “go big or go home” mascara in collaboration with Kat Von D Beauty available at Sephora. According to an Instagram post by Cruz, the mascara is “smudge, flake and rub proof in the blackest black shade. All that goodness and it’s cruelty-free, vegan and made with one of my favorite flowers.”
KAROL G
In June, Karol G joined Lizzo, CL, Ezra Miller and Joey King as the 2019 global citizens for Urban Decay, spotlighting the “Pretty Different” campaign for makeup junkies who don’t subscribe to beauty standards. “Being #PrettyDifferent is enjoying who you are and what you like, no matter what others think. That is what makes you unique and special,” Karol expressed on Instagram.
JENNIFER LOPEZ
Jennifer Lopez teamed up with Inglot in 2018 for her JLo makeup line. The collection, which was curated by Lopez herself, includes bronzers, highlighters, lipstick, and eyeshadow palettes to make sure that all of her fans get that J.Lo glow. The singer’s beauty brand also includes her signature fragrances.
SELENA
In 2016, Selena fans were blessed with a Queen of Tejano-inspired makeup collection in collaboration with M.A.C. Cosmetics. The collection embodies the late Mexican-American singer’s style, including a signature red lipstick and eyeshadow palette named after some of her emblematic songs, such as “Is It the Beat” and “No Me Queda Mas.”
