Five months after Flow La Movie dropped “Mirame” with Nio Garcia, Rauw Alejandro and Lenny Tavarez, the record label presented its fiery remix.
This time, the three artists are joined by Darell, Myke Towers, and Casper Mágico, bringing to the forefront the new wave of Latin urban and R&B acts that are changing the game in the industry. Despite having six artists onboard—each with a different vibe—the sensual urban melodies in the remix keep true to the original’s essence.
“The original song was born when I was in Lenny’s studio and Rauw Alejandro passed by one day and we decided to do a song to feature our love for dance,” Garcia told Billboard. “The song was a hit so for the remix we were searching for strong voices, since ours are more melodic, and we decided to call Darell, Myke Towers, and Casper.”
The remix’s official music video premiered July 18 and features Nio, Rauw, Lenny, Darell, Casper, and Myke singing their verses in a neon-filled room, busting a dance move or two. The video has over seven million views at the time of publishing.
“This movement has always been there but it just needed more artists like us who can sing and dance,” he assures of the urban artists who also do killer choreography in their videos and performances.
Besides “Mirame (Remix),” Nio is promoting his single “Hoy Se Bebe,” which has become a hit in countries such as Colombia and the Dominican Republic, and which he claims, is one of the most important tracks of his career.
