Residente offers a massive concert in Puerto Rico
On Saturday, singer/songwriter Residente took over the old Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico, where around 40,000 people saw him perform. Rene Perez (real name) took to social media, posting: “I do not want to talk about numbers, numbers or records because that does not fill me up. I never liked maths, that’s why I’m a rapper. That’s why I just want to talk about moments, how I had to endure the urge to cry while singing “Hijos del Cañaveral” in my country, how I could dedicate my song to my son while from a distance I saw myself, how I felt in family with each one of the people who, regardless of the rain, accompanied me to let me know that I was at home. I felt loved and that was very necessary in my country. Thank you for giving me one of the best moments of my life.”
