At the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Week, Camilo, Rauw Alejandro, Sech, and Cazzu got together for the second part of the On the Rise panel, which is a spinoff of the Billboard On the Rise franchise published biweekly spotlighting up-and-coming artists who are making waves in music.
During the conversation, moderated by Billboard’s Jessica Roiz, the four up-and-coming acts, who have risen from obscurity to — oftentimes — No. 1s on the Billboard charts, discussed how they’re pushing boundaries in the urban and trap genres.
This year, Colombian pop artist Camilo and Puerto Rican urban star Rauw Alejandro entered the Hot Latin Songs Top 10, with “Tattoo (Remix)” peaking at No. 8 on the chart dated Aug. 15, 2020. Panamanian reggaeton artist Sech had four top 10s on the Hot Latin Songs chart, including “Otro Trago,” which hit No. 1 on the chart dated Aug. 10, 2019, for three weeks. Coined as Argentina’s trap queen, Cazzu also secured a spot on the chart with Khea’s 2018 “Loca (Remix)” in collaboration with Bad Bunny and Duki.
From discovering their sound to handling fame, see what they said in the complete conversation above.
