Becky G, Gloria Trevi, Leslie Grace, Roselyn Sanchez and Aracely Arambula are confirm to host the 2018 Latin American Music Awards in celebration of Latin women in music, Telemundo announced Monday morning (Oct. 15).
This year, Telemundo will celebrate the contributions of Latinas in music during the three-hour ceremony, which will include the presentation of a series of vignettes featuring singers who have paved the way for new generations. The Latin AMAs are set to broadcast live from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. on Oct. 25 at 8/7c.
As part of the celebration, the five hosts will also gather for a panel to be moderated by Billboard’s executive director, Latin content and programming, Leila Cobo, to discuss the contributions of Latinas in music. The initiative seeks to inspire today’s female artists and motivate them to be true agents of change in the industry, as well as those students that are entering the field and want their voice to be heard and their own stories told. The event will take place at the Los Angeles Film School on Oct. 23.
This year, the Latin AMAs will feature performances by Alvaro Soler, Anitta, Banda MS de Sergio Lizarraga, Becky G, Christian Nodal, CNCO, Daddy Yankee, Flo Rida, Farruko, Gloria Trevi, Joss Favela, La Arrolladora Banda El Limon de Rene Camacho, Lele Pons, Leslie Grace, Ludacris, Maluma, Nacho, Pitbull, Prince Royce, Tini, Wisin y Yandel and Zion & Lennox.
The show will also air simultaneously on Spanish-language entertainment cable network Universo, and in 20 countries throughout the Americas via Telemundo Internacional.
