Argentine singer Lali Esposito visited the Billboard red carpet live stream at the 2019 Billboard Latin Music Awards to talk about being a first-ever finalist, and to spill the beans on an upcoming collaboration.
“I love that I’m nominated for social artist of the year,” she said. “It’s hard, because Anuel, Anitta, Bad Bunny are there, but being here — and coming from so far — is a great achievement for me.”
Esposito, who revealed she rather go as simply Lali, talked about her life growing up in the industry. “I don’t know any other life. I began working since I was little in my country and that gives you a different perspective,” she said. “I think I have a normal life. I have my house, my boyfriend, my seven-year-old nephew, and all of that nurtures me.”
Before heading into the show, Lali also revealed that a bilingual collaboration is on the way with a European artist: “It’s a secret but it’s with an artist from the other side of the ocean. It’s coming. I’m working on that.”
