Barely a week after her highly visible contributions at the Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards, Colombian singer Karol G has been named the first Latin act selected for Spotify’s RISE artists of 2018.
As a RISE artist, the entertainer will be part of a content launch on the multimedia RISE playlists, a documentary about her dynamic journey in the music industry and live event activations.
Having already achieved a top 10 Hot Latin Songs chart entry, Karol G has reached more than 2 billion total streams and entertained fans at more than 60 concerts in Latin America and Europe, according to her reps.
A Latin Billboard Music Awards finalist for Top Latin Albums artist of the year, female, Karol G conquered Las Vegas with Atlanta trap sensation Quavo onstage for a live version of the international Latin trap anthem “Ahora Me Llama,” which is now diamond certified in the U.S. by the RIAA, a label rep confirmed.
It was also during the awards show that Karol G joined “Despacito” songwriter Luis Fonsi and Mexican singer Paty Cantu onstage for a remix of Fonsi’s global hit “Echame La Culpa.”
Karol G’s co-management deal with UMLE further strengthens her role and growth with the music company.
