Juanes and Maná‘s frontman Fher Olvera were among the many global Latin acts to perform at Plácido Domingo’s beneficiary concert in Madrid last night (June 29). The Plácido En El Alma show was organized by Fundación Real Madrid to raise funds for the foundation’s social projects in Mexico.
Fher took the Santiago Bérnabeu stage to perform some of Maná’s top hits including “Vivir sin aire” and “Clavado en un bar.” On social media, he thanked the Spanish tenor for making him part of the concert and for helping out his native country. “I greatly admire Plácido, not only because of his extraordinary voice but because of his great heart. During the 1985 Mexico earthquake he proved his solidarity with Mexico, and in this occasion he’s raising funds again for my country. Thanks for the invitation, it’s an honor.”

During a press conference prior to the show, Domingo expressed, “I am excited that with this concert we are going to help kids have a better life. In many cases, they will be the first of their families to be able to do something with music and sports and that brings happiness to me because those are my two passions.”
