
Juan Gabriel will receive Telemundo’s Premio de La Estrella (Star Award) during the 2016 Billboard Latin Music Awards, taking place April 28 at the BankUnited Center in Miami.
The Mexican singer/songwriter is also confirmed to perform at the “Billboards Duets” edition of the show, joining previously announced performers Juanes, Natalia Jiménez, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar and Marc Anthony.

The 66-year-old singer joins Latin music stars such as Thalía, Ricky Martin, Ana Gabriel and Alejandro Fernández, who have been given the special award in the past. His last three albums, Los Dúo (2015), Mis Número 1, 40 Aniversario (2015) and Los Dúo 2 (2016), have hit No. 1 on the Top Latin Albums chart.
Juan Gabriel recently released his new music video “Yo Te Recuerdo” featuring Marc Anthony. The track is part of Los Dúo 2, where he has songs with other artists like Franco de Vita, Carla Morrison and Paty Cantú.
