Juan Gabriel has released the official video for “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.”
The Mexican legend brings rainbows, flowers and little bit of his trademark drama to his cover of the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic.
Juan Gabriel to Kick Off New Arena Tour in August: Exclusive Details
Gabriel’s Spanish-language “Gracias al Sol,” which premiered on Billboard, is the first single from the upcoming Latin tribute to CCR, Quiero Creedence, which will features acts ranging from Los Lobos to Spanish classic rocker Bunbury to ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.
In the new performance video, shot in a garden, the singer wears a vest embroidered with flowers and rainbow-striped pants, giving a Mexican-style nod to the hippie era. While “Gracias al Sol” lacks the angst of the original, which preceded Creedence’s break up, Gabriel does deliver some of his characteristic camp in the video, acting out the words of the chorus as he looks toward the heavens.
