Actor and influencer Johann Vera, who was featured on Simon Cowell’s singing competition show La Banda, is getting another showcase as part of Univision’s My Música VIP showcase in partnership with M&M’s.
The May 2 event, Johann Vera Live, builds on Univision’s efforts to foster emerging artists through platforms that engage fans through music.

Vera, bilingual and of Ecuadorian heritage, will be performing and sharing his story in Miami. Also an actor, Vera’s time on La Banda featured global stars Laura Pausini, Ricky Martin and Alejandro Sanz as judges.
An X Factor finalist in Colombia when he was 11 years old, Vera has appeared on Nickelodeon TV shows such as Every Witch Way and Talia in the Kitchen as well as having a part in Univision’s series Demente Criminal, or “Criminal Mastermind.”
Vera is currently focusing on his career in music and working on releasing music independently as he continues building a fan base in the U.S. and beyond with an Instagram following of more than 1 million.
