Four months after Hurricane Maria destroyed Puerto Rico, the efforts of many superstars to help people continues to be very active.
On Sunday afternoon (Jan. 7), Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez arrived in Puerto Rico to continue supporting and bringing help to people in need.
Upon their arrival, Lopez offered a press conference where she clearly addressed the situation on how Puerto Ricans have been treated by the government after the hurricane and took advantage of the movement #timesup, which is being used by many women in protest for equality and sexual harassment during the Golden Globes, to ask for Puerto Ricans to be treated equally.
The superstar shared the moment on her Instagram. “I stand here in black doing the same [supporting #timesup] from far away. It’s the same here in Puerto Rico, we want to be treated equally,” she says.
Last year, Lopez and Rodriguez joined forces with Marc Anthony to organize the One Voice: Somos Live! benefit concert, which took place between Miami and Los Angeles.
