Will Jennifer Lopez be tying the knot soon with longtime boyfriend Alex Rodriguez? Ellen DeGeneres, for one, tried her hardest to find out.
On Thursday’s (Nov. 28) episode of The Ellen DeGenres Show, DeGeneres joked that A-Rod told her the relationship would be moving on to the next stage. “He said that y’all are going to be getting married,” DeGeneres said.
“He did not say that,” Lopez was quick to reply. “He did not say that.”

“He did,” DeGeneres insisted. “He texted me today and said — he texted earlier today and he said–”
“–Let me see the text,” Lopez playfully challenged. DeGeneres responded that she did not have her phone with her before asking, “So you’ll be getting married?”
“I don’t know,” said Lopez. “I don’t know.”
“You should, because y’all seem very happy,” DeGeneres said. “We are,” the singer answered. “We’ve been together a couple years. It’s nice.”
Lopez, who has been dating the former baseball player since Feb. 2017, announced their one-year anniversary during a pre-Super Bowl concert earlier this year. “We’ve been together for one year today,” she told the crowd. “I don’t want to get all mushy or anything, but baby, this song’s for you. I love you.”
“You’re not leaving here until we find out,” DeGeneres joked later in the interview.
