J Balvin today (May 13) premiered his new single and music video “Bobo,” where he transforms into the nerd Carlos David who doesn’t appreciate his girlfriend, hence the title “Bobo (loser).”
The sultry video, directed by Juan Pablo Valencia, was shot in Mexico City with breathtaking shots of the city’s iconic Angel of Independence and the Museo Soumaya.

For this reggaeton track, the Colombian singer once again teamed up with Medellín-based producers Bull Nene, Sky and Mosty, who are also the brains behind Balvin’s hit single “Ginza.”
“Bobo is a song as real as its name,” Balvin told Billboard. “Again, we dared to leave our comfort zone and take a risk on a concept.”
