Chart-topping group Intocable will be honored with the special El Poder En Ti (The Power In You) Award during Telemundo’s 2016 Premios Tu Mundo.
The “El Poder en Ti” award honors artists who use the unlimited power of their fame for good, through their art and generosity; artists who are willing to create, give and be an example, a “super hero” not only in the music industry but especially in the community.
The “Fuerte no soy” singers are known for their charitable work including their role as ambassadors of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, not only helping to raise awareness, but also donating $1 Million for cancer research and the care of children with cancer. They also work closely with Toys for Tots and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Aside from their dedication to charity work, Intocable has also been on the front battle lines of immigration and human rights in the U.S. by joining forces with Voto Latino as ambassadors to promote U.S. citizens of Hispanic heritage to exercise their right to vote.
The norteño/tejano group from Texas will also perform during the fifth annual awards ceremony on Aug. 25 at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. Other performers include Daddy Yankee, Reik, Régulo Caro, Farruko and Chino Y Nacho.
