For its seventh annual event, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina has gone virtual, but is still celebrating the best of Latin music and culture amid Hispanic Heritage Month.
The popular music festival, airing live on Thursday (Oct. 8), will feature remote performances by Ozuna, Prince Royce, Anitta, Manuel Turizo, Myke Towers, Camilo, and Nicky Jam, to name a few. Nicky will also be honored with the iHeartRadio Corazón Latino Award presented by Ally for his contributions to the music industry and the Latin community.
Hosted by Enrique Santos, chairman and chief creative officer of iHeartLatino and on-air personality for iHeartRadio, this year’s virtual event will also celebrate Latino agents of change in art, television, cinema, radio, and politics. They include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jennifer Lopez, Sofia Vergara, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Dolores Huerta, and many more.
“At a time when COVID-19 is disproportionately impacting the Latin community and people of color, we hope the 2020 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina and our month-long Hispanic Heritage Month spotlight of the inspiring thought leaders impacting today’s culture will be a reminder of our resilience and achievements,” said Santos in a statement. “Now more than ever, this year’s Fiesta Latina will be a celebration of our community. Although music fans will not be able to physically attend the event in person given the limitations on live events during the pandemic, they can still experience the energy and excitement of this mega-concert via the stream and broadcast.”
The iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina will air at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT via Livestream and radio.
The one-hour special will be available for Hulu subscribers until Oct. 15. LiveXLive.com will stream the event in its entirety, and it will broadcast across iHeartMedia’s Spanish radio stations nationwide including hits, tropical, Regional Mexican, Tejano, hot AC, and oldies.
