After being arrested by federal agents in Puerto Rico on Tuesday (Apr 3), singer/producer Farruko took to Instagram on Thursday (Apr. 5) to tell all his fans how he is after everything he experienced.
In the video, the “Krippy Kush” singer thanks everyone for their support, especially the prisoners who also gave him encouragement during the process. The one-minute clip was accompanied with the caption: “Today begins another stage in my life, thank you all for your prayers at least it is at home and not in jail but I feel grateful to God my family my friends and fans for their prayers. I think that the process has been exaggerated a bit.”
Farruko was initially detained at the Isla Grande airport after returning from the Dominican Republic. Agents searched his bags and reportedly found $52,000 in undeclared cash. On Wednesday (Apr. 4), Farruko was released on $100,000 bond and he will be placed under house arrest with an ankle monitor at his home in Miami. He could face a maximum fine of $250,000 or up to five years in prison, or both.
