Diego Torres joins the “Embrace Diversity” campaign launched by the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) for the Copa América Centenario soccer tournament, which promotes equality, respect, acceptance and inclusion on and off the field.
The Argentine singer/songwriter’s “Iguales” is the official song of the initiative, which released a video as the soccer tournament is well under way in the United States during the month of June.
“On the pitch and in the stands, we are all equal. Let’s celebrate diversity. We don’t discriminate,” says Torres, joined by renowned soccer players who pledge to embrace diversity.

According to a statement from CONCACAF, the campaign will run throughout the tournament with promo videos displayed before and after matches in an effort to create an ambiance of respect and inclusion and stop fans from using abusive, sexist, racist and obscene language during games.
