Forget the Justin Bieber remix: The hottest new version of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee‘s hit “Despacito” dropped this week, and like many other masterpieces, it took a while to complete — four years, to be exact.
And it’s composed entirely of snores.
Aptly titled “Ronquidito” — which means “snoring” in Spanish — the now-viral video opens with a woman explaining how she has been recording her snoring husband, referred to as Raúl Amador Márquez in the opening credits, for four years. With a little help from her nephew, she says, she was able to edit the clips into a snoring version of the record-breaking single. She uploaded the video to YouTube, and the rest is music history. (See “Despacito’s” English translation here.)
