More than 100,000 tickets for Séptimo Día, No Descansaré, the Cirque de Soleil spectacular based on the music and story of Soda Stereo, have been sold after the first day of general ticket sales, according to Argentine press reports. Ten of the shows are sold out. Soda Stereo’s Charly Alberti announced the results of a massive ticket grab on Twitter on Sunday (March 7), after the tickets went on sale to the public at Luna Park stadium in Buenos Aires.

Additional shows have been added to the original 18 performances of Séptimo Día, which premieres at Luna Park on March 9, 2017 and will run through April 16. Each of the over three dozen performances now slated for Luna will be attended by an audience of about 5000 people.
A pre-sale for Séptimo Día, through which tickets were made available exclusively for BBVA Frances bank clients last week, set record pre-sale numbers of 50,000 for Argentina, surpassing previous achievements by U2 and One Direction, according to the Argentine newspaper Clarin.
Ticket prices, set in Argentine pesos, range between about 45 and 244 U.S. dollars.
