Christian Nodal hit our radar when his single “Adios Amor” dropped in January 2017. The song’s success in Mexico and the U.S. bumped Nodal to the top 10 of Hot Latin Songs (peaking at No. 4 on the chart dated Feb. 25, 2017), Latin Airplay (peaking at No. 5 on the chart dated Feb. 22, 2017) and Latin Regional Mexican Airplay, where his single was No. 1 for seven non-consecutive weeks, starting in April 2017.
The heartfelt ranchera even nabbed the 19-year-old singer the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Award for regional Mexican song of the year. “Adios Amor” was only the beginning for Nodal, as his singles “Probablemente” featuring David Bisbal, “Me Dejé Llevar” and “Te Falle” are also chart-topping hits.
“It is a blessing to make music from the heart and see that people identify and feel the song to such a degree to reach these results,” Nodal told Billboard. “It was always my dream to be on the radio, and the fact that a song of mine reaches people’s hearts makes it even more special.”
As Nodal makes the rounds with his studio album Me Deje Llevar, which spent 11 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart, here are some songs on the album that best fit every stage of a relationship.
