Camila Cabello took the 305 by storm Wednesday night (Sept. 25), performing a special private show for some lucky fans at The Fillmore in Miami Beach.
The Cuban-American artist kicked off her show singing her latest single “Shameless” and flaunting an all-white bodycon pantsuit. Throughout the concert, which was presented by Verizon Up, Cabello expressed multiple times how she was excited to be back on stage and in her hometown.
Cabello crooned her beloved Camilizers with hits from her debut self-titled solo album, including “Never Be The Same,” “Consequences,” “Real Friends,” and the reggaeton-infused “She Loves Control.” She also performed “Señorita,” but without her collaborator (and real-life beau) Shawn Mendes. But she was certainly missing her man: “I wish Shawn was here tonight, but y’all are gonna have to help me sing it.”
One of the highlights of the show was when Cabello sat down to talk to fans about the importance of mental health. “I just wanted to remind you, in case you needed to hear it, to be kind and loving to yourself and talk to yourself like you would talk to your best friend,” she said after performing “Scar Tissue.”
The setup was simple but impressive: four band members, eight very energetic background dancers, a red light show, and a big screen showing cool visuals, including a few of her music videos. Cabello and her dancers sported white ensembles throughout the entire show.
After 75 minutes of reminding fans how much she loves them; delivering epic choreography (including a routine to J Balvin’s “Mi Gente”); and flaunting her powerhouse vocals; Cabello signed off singing the song that put her solo career on the map “Havana” — a full-circle closing for her hometown affair.
