Buchanan’s unveiled the J Balvin limited-edition design for its 12-Year-Old DeLuxe Blended Scotch Whisky on Wednesday (Feb. 20), marking the brand’s first-ever artist product collaboration.
Through his continuing partnership with Buchanan’s, J Balvin was named the creative director of the whisky brand’s new campaign, Imparables Colección, a collection that brings to the forefront the new generation of creative, rising and unstoppable Latinos.
In a previous interview, the Colombian singer exclusively revealed to Billboard that his design — whose packaging contains hues of oranges and teal palm trees — was inspired by his culture. “More than my Colombian roots, I based it on all Latinos. It will have lots of colors, lots of vibes. It’s going to be spectacular,” he said.
“I am so proud to have had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a special pack design with Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky — a brand that has supported my career and the Latin community for years, and an iconic whisky enjoyed by so many,” Balvin emphasized in a press release. “I drew inspiration from the colors and vibrancy of Latin culture for the design, and I hope it makes people proud of everything we continue to accomplish and contribute.”
J Balvin’s limited-edition bottle is available for $31 wherever spirits are sold in California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, Arizona and Colorado.
